Peters Sutures

For over 50 years, Peters Surgical has manufactured and distributed suture portfolios designed to meet users’ needs during the various stages of major surgical procedures:

Absorbable Sutures

A complete range of Absorbable Sutures, intended to be used in general surgery: 2 braids with rapid (Optime® R) or medium (Optime®) absorption time and 2 monofilaments with medium (Advantime®) or slow (Monotime®) absorption time.

Non-Absorbable Sutures

A versatile portfolio of Non-Absorbable Sutures designed for tissue approximation and/or ligation, during cardiac and vascular surgery (Corolene®, Premio®, Cardioxyl®, Cardioflon® Evolution, Cardionyl®, Acier), ophthalmic surgery (Polypropylen, Nylon, Silk) or general surgery (Filapeau®, Polytresse®, Silk) in particular.

Needles

A wide choice of needles, made of stainless steel with an alloy from the 300 series allowing adaptation to all types of tissues

Self-Locking Barbed Sutures

Darvin Loc Self-Locking Barbed Sutures indicated for various surgical procedures where the overlock technique is required in open, laparoscopic and/or robotic surgery: general, bariatric, gynecological, urological, plastic and orthopedic surgery.

Semi-resorbable parietal reinforcement implant
The 4DDome® medical device consists of two implants:
-a semi-resorbable dome
-a semi-resorbable implant for anterior reinforcement

For the parietal treatment and reinforcement of inguinal and femoral hernias.

Dome (posterior reinforcement):
-87% poly-L-lactique acid (resorbable)
-13% polypropylene (non-resorbable)

Anterior Reinforcement:
-75% poly-L-lactique acid (resorbable)
-25% polypropylene (non-resorbable)

4DMesh®

Semi-resorbable parietal reinforcement implant
75% resorbable mesh: made of monofilament polypropylene and poly-L-lactic Acid (PLLA) knit. For the parietal treatment and reinforcement of inguinal and femoral hernias.

-25% Polypropylene monofilament

4DVentral®

Semi-resorbable parietal reinforcement implant
4DVentral® is a partially resorbable and hydrophilic implant of intermediate density designed for the extraperitoneal treatment of ventral and incisional hernias. For the extraperitoneal treatment and reinforcement of ventral and incisional hernias.

- The anatomical landmark, existing one some references, is composed of a monofilament polypropylene thread tainted in blue colorant Phthalocyaninato (2-) Copper

Intramesh® T1

Repair and parietal reinforcement of umbilical and ventral hernias. Intra-peritoneal implantation.
Double sided implant for parietal reinforcement: one side made of monofilament polypropylene for tissue ingrowth and one side made of ePTFE to limit adhesions.Meshes are marked with a cross of biocompatible ink on the anti-adherent side. Repair and parietal reinforcement of umbilical and ventral hernias. Intra-peritoneal implantation.
